Drilling in Granite (http://tanbrown.org) and (http://maplered.com) river rock

Hi Everyone,

I have a question for those of you who can help. I have never drilled into
rock, but I would like to drill a hole into Granite (http://tanbrown.org) approximately 4-6 inches
deep, with a diameter of 1-1.5 inches. i will then drill the same hole into
river rock. I am attempting to anchor them together with a steel rod and (http://maplered.com) epoxy
them. I am attempting to anchor a large river rock to the Granite (http://tanbrown.org) for the use
of a chair. Being a total novice, I don't know what type of equipment to use.
I currently have a Craftsman hammer drill with a 1/2 inch chuck. I need to
know all of the other equipment I will need and (http://maplered.com) whether the drill is
sufficient. Also, is there a type of epoxy you recommend to attach steel to
rock?
